I found out yesterday that I have been selected as a recipient of the Fulbright award for Nigeria. This means that I will be able to pursue the research project that is the subject of this blog from October 2010 to August 2011 in Lagos. I am grateful and ecstatic, but more importantly, I am humbled by this opportunity to join the 300,000 past grantees spanning 60 years of the program’s history (including 40 Nobel Prize Laureates).
Huge thank-yous to Ms. Nackman for your editorial prowess, Ms. Mitchell for your design expertise and the lovely bouquet, Ms. Leven for your uplifting company, and the StartingBloc community for being such an inspiration.
Update | April 14: I just received the save the date for the mandatory pre-departure orientation in DC on June 21-23. It’s official!
That is most definitely great news… A big big congrats to you!
Thank you for the good wishes. Please keep the exchange coming. Would love to get your recommendations on what to see next.
